This is a fantastic role for a Green Hydrogen Consultant with a real passion for shaping projects while making a difference in the Energy Transition and Energy Security.

Specifically, the role is for a Green Hydrogen Consultant with experience in Green Hydrogen and associated hydrogen vectors (Ammonia, Methanol, LOHC), Liquefaction and/or Carbon Capture technologies. The role will report to the Director Future Energies - Middle East, supporting on various project phases from feasibility and concept studies through to FEED.

As an experienced engineer, with a strong appreciation of process design and an interest in the holistic aspects of Greenfield and Brownfield projects, you will continue to grow your career through taking technical and design responsibility for delivering a variety of project implementation phases (pre-feasibility, concept, feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED etc).

Focusing on technical project delivery you will be a key member of your project team to develop the technoeconomic solution that guides your client to successfully achieve the next stage in their decision gate process.

You will interface with a multi-disciplinary team of highly capable Subject Matter Experts and Consultants to deliver best in class solutions that will ensure high customer satisfaction. This will lead to opportunities for further advancement of your career in multiple directions. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute and provide technical support to projects within the Middle East Future Energies Team

- Involved in a variety of project phases, from conceptual and feasibility studies, optimisation work, and pre-FEED stages, through to and including FEED.

- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and produce designs and services to meet these needs

- Interface with the wider Abu Dhabi Engineering Centre to deliver multi-discipline Workscopes.

- Be flexible, supporting several studies at the same time without missing milestones

- Coach and mentor less experienced staff

- Identify issues and propose solutions using innovative and novel solutions, plus ability to grasp unfamiliar concepts

- Complete technical design work to a high standard without supervision using Woods and Client design methods, standards and data

- Grow in leadership qualities and capability providing optimised solutions to Clients complex multi-faceted problems; articulating these in a way that allows Clients to readily present to their own internal and external stakeholders

- Develop compelling and competitive proposals that readily demonstrate to Clients the best way to deliver their project

Requirements

Expected:

- Chemical Engineering Degree

- Up-to-date technical expertise and a solid record of project execution

- Previous experience with a range of different gas processing technologies

- Experienced in the execution of conceptual studies, optimisation work and front end engineering design stage of projects

- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to manage own work and the work of others, plus a strong customer focus and team-working skills

- Readily adaptable with excellent communication skills

- Ability to analyse logical problems or problems with several obvious relationships, systematically break a complex task into more manageable parts and identify the critical components of a problem

Desirable :

- Chartered Engineer or Scientist (or working towards)

- Member of an appropriate professional institution

- Commercial awareness of project delivery

- Specific experience in relation to hydrogen, ammonia and/or carbon capture projects/technologies

- Experience in FEED, EPC, Commissioning and / or Operations such that Clients recognize the experience from later phases being considered in their early project phase
