The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the countrys biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island Norths Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the worlds highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Job Description
Purchasing Supervisor
This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager in running the day-to-day operation of the procurement department.
- Assists purchasing manager in purchasing needs meeting orders and ensuring that purchases are made on time by placing orders with vendors
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, preparation of contracts, and tender management
- Drafts and/or reviews supply and service specifications
- Prepare bids documents, ensuring compliance with departmental, and company policies and procedures
- Distributes purchasing information to involved parties including vendors, sales representatives, and business associates
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a procurement, business, finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in purchasing
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Experienced in using ERP Systems and other vendor management software
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
