• Working with the finance team, the Billing Assistant will be the designated expert in relation to the client’s billing requirements.
With responsibilities Including but not limited to the below:
• Matter management, knowing who works on the files, ensuring their time gets closed before billing.
• Keeping data clean and relevant. Ensuring rates are correctly applied.
• Ensuring ledger financial hygiene is maintained (write offs, transfers, nil rate trainee time, amendments etc.)
• Review matters on a regular basis and close down when dormant, keeping our files clean.
• Identification of process gaps or inefficiencies and the provision of training for legal teams on correct and improved matter protocols Billing Support.
• Working with the Office Hub Assistant to ensure that all costs are accurately reflected on proformas raised.
• Providing guidance to fee earners, partners and secretaries on the firm’s financial processes and procedures relating to the billing process as well as building and managing relationships within Finance
• Validation of proformas in line with client protocols and return any bills which are not compliant with these protocols, along with advising the correct process/procedure.
• Dealing with client queries on invoices and financial matters.
• Coordination and resolution of e-billing rejections
Requirements
• Be currently based in Amman.
• Fluent, business level, written and spoken English and Arabic communication skills.
• 2-5 years corporate experience at a large international corporate firm, preferably a law firm.
• University Degree preferable in Finance and at least 2 years’ experience in Finance Department (Billing specialized)
• Advanced Microsoft Office (formatting, track changes, mail merge) Excel (pivot tables and formulas) and PowerPoint
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
• A hardworking attitude, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Professional demeanor with experience in a multinational environment
